What this app is

BitcoinSaving is an educational calculator. It runs historical simulations of regular Bitcoin purchases (dollar-cost averaging) using daily BTC/USD prices back to 2010. It does not sell, buy, hold, send or receive Bitcoin. It holds no wallet and no keys. It gives no financial advice.

Data we collect, and why

We collect the least data the service needs to work.

1. No accounts at launch. The app has no sign-up. Your saved plans are stored on your device only and are never sent to us.
2. Website email list. If you subscribe on this website, we store your email address to send the app launch email and a weekly data story. We never sell it or share it for anyone else's marketing. Reply to any email to unsubscribe and we will remove you.
3. Ad data. The app shows ads served by Google AdMob, set to non-personalized. Ads are chosen by context, not by tracking you across other apps or websites. AdMob may process device information (such as device model, coarse region and the advertising identifier where the system allows it) to serve and measure those ads and to prevent fraud. In the EEA and UK the app asks for your consent first. We do not use App Tracking Transparency tracking, and we do not sell your data.
4. Basic technical data. The app downloads price data from public data services (btcdollarcostaverage.com, BGeometrics and Yahoo Finance); those services see your IP address and request time, as any website does. Our website keeps short-lived server logs (such as IP address and request time) to run and secure the service.

What we do not collect

No name, address, phone number or email. No location. No contacts, photos or microphone. No bank or card data. No Bitcoin addresses, wallet data or transaction history.

Who receives data

• Google AdMob (ads in the app).
• Public price-data services the app reads from: btcdollarcostaverage.com, BGeometrics, Yahoo Finance.
• Supabase (backend for the web calculator at app.bitcoinsaving.fyi).

We share nothing else, with anyone, for any other purpose. We do not sell personal data.

Retention and deletion

Website server logs are kept for up to 30 days. Saved plans live on your device and are deleted when you delete them or remove the app. You may email us at the contact above to ask about any data connected to you.

Children

The app is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the local minimum age).

Your rights

Under GDPR and similar laws you may ask for access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of your data, and you may object to its use. Write to the contact above. We reply within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this URL with a new date before it takes effect.
